Very easy to carry with you May 12, 2007
By Thomas M. Williams

This is my second Bucky and I have always been very satisfied with its lumbar support and ease of use. The handle is a huge plus, as I carry it with me to restaurants and movies to help with my horrible back pain. The ability to adjust the amount of filling is also great - I haven't seen another lumbar support that allows you to remove filling to customize it for your needs. Overall, I have tried many lumbar supports and this one fits the bill best.

Bucky Baxter Lumbar Support Pillow Jun 26, 2007
By Barbara Stewart This pillow helps lower back pain by supporting your back properly when you're sitting in a chair. The buckwheat inside the pillow conforms to your back, so it works better and more comfortably than a harder cylindrical roll or too-pliable rolled-up towel.

I have had several of these over the years. I hope they are NEVER discontinued. I have them in the house, a MUST in the car and I never travel via airlines or anywhere else without my BUCKY. It is AWESOME. I just washed the cover for mine at home last nite.

Works Great as a Neck Pillow May 21, 2008
By Buddy S Although this product is marketed as a lumbar support pillow, my wife has been using one for several years as a neck pillow. Recently, I woke up several mornings in a row with neck pain and bought one of these Bucky lumbar pillows for myself and now use it regularly as a neck pillow. I have had no problems with neck pain in the three weeks I have been using it.
I also have a Bucky "neck" pillow, which works well for long plane and car trips, but is not comfortable for sleeping in bed, because I can not use it when sleeping on my side. I can comfortably use this "lumbar" pillow when sleeping on both my back and side.
If you want to get an idea of how this pillow might work for you, try this: take a bath towel and fold and roll it, so you have a small cylinder that is about two feet in length. Place a heavy duty rubber band on each end (so it will not unroll) and put the rolled towel in a pillow case. I used a towel rolled like this as a neck pillow for a several nights, before I decided to order my own Bucky pillow and while waiting for it to arrive from Amazon.

Great as a neck pillow; makes CPAP sleeping comfy Aug 17, 2008
By meb This 5" X 15" bolster-type pillow (i.e., cylindrical) is filled with buckwheat hulls and manufactured by Bucky, Inc., of Seattle, Washington. I've had one for quite a few years, using it as a neck pillow for bedtime and traveling.
Great features: The comfy, sturdily constructed cotton velour cover is removable (closes with a zipper), and it can be machine washed and dried. Mine is black, and it never shows dirt. It packs well and can be pushed around in my bag to fit the available space. The sewn-in webbing handles at each end are an added convenience I've appreciated many times. I use a regular bed pillow and put Bucky on top of it, scrunched comfortably between my shoulder and my head. It fills in the space and provides support, keeps my spine in line and prevents my face from sinking into the bed pillow.
Recently, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and now use a CPAP machine when I sleep. Wearing a CPAP mask, which has straps along both sides of the face and an air hose attached, has historically been especially uncomfortable for CPAP users who sleep on their sides, as I do. Pillows with cutouts that make room for the air hose have been developed, but I didn't get one because Bucky fits the bill so well. I still have that good neck support, I position the front of it just in front of my ear so it doesn't get in the way of my CPAP mask, it supports and slightly elevates my head from the bed pillow, and it allows the air hose to clear the bed pillow easily and without kinking. In addition, Bucky costs about half that of the specialized CPAP pillows. A++
